Rinchen Dorji

PhD in Education, UNE, Australia (Degree to be conferred in April 2018); MA in Special Educational Needs (Roehampton University, London, 2008); M.Ed in Educational Foundations (University of New Brunswick, Fredericton, Canada, 2002); PGCE, NIE, Samtse (1997); BA with Honours (English) (Sherubtse College, Kanglung, 1995).

 

Rinchen Dorji has started his career as a schoolteacher and has served as a lecturer at Paro College of Education for more than a decade. He was the Programme Leader of B.Ed (Secondary) when the pre-service teacher education programmes at the erstwhile National Institute of Education, Paro were being upgraded from the Primary Teacher’s Certificate Programme to a full-fledged Bachelor of Education. He also served as the Project Manager of Support to Teacher Education Project (STEP) funded by Helvetas from 2003 to 2007. Rinchen was also Programme Manager of the Part-Time M.Ed in Educational Leadership and Management at Paro College of Education. He worked as a Curriculum Officer at the Office of the Vice Chancellor, Thimphu and served as the Dean of Research and Industrial Linkages at Paro College of Education. He currently works as a lecturer at Paro College of Education. He teaches educational research, inclusive education and other educational studies.

 

Rinchen is passionate about academic discourses and research in inclusive education and disability studies.
